MARIEMAIA ARMY |
Mariemaia's forces decend on Brussels, the ESUN's capital, where Mariemaia, her grandfather and Relena go into a huge, super-armored bunker. Meawhile, Zechs and Lucrezia Noin try, without success, to stop Mariemaia's MS troops, until the Gundam Heavyarms, Sandrock and Deathscythe Hell arrives, that is. The only two missing Gundams are duking it out during atomosphieric re-entry, Wufei wanting to stop Heero because "it is my duty!!". Heero manages to convince Wufei to help and arrives in Brussels, targeting the Wing Zero's huge Buster Rifle on the bunker. Heero fires a few shots and manages to pierce the bunker's armor. Insde, Dekim tries to shoot Relena, who has been trying to convince Mariemaia that war is not necessarily the best path. Mariemaia steps in front of Relena and gets shot, while Dekim gets shot by one of his own underlings. Heero enters with his empty gun, symbolically fires at Mariemaia, then loses consciousness. Outside, peace has returned....

Mariemaia Khushrenada The figurehead leader of Dekim Barton's Mariemaia Army. The purported daughter of former OZ leader Treize Khushrenada, Mariemaia's blood claim to rulership of the world is the pretext for her grandfather Dekim's power grab. Though this precocious and power-hungry child is creepy in her own right, she's really just a puppet of her ambitious elders, who's been groomed since infancy as a vessel for the Barton family's dream of world domination

Dekim Barton The sinister head of the industrial cartel known as the Barton Foundation, which is based at the L3 colony cluster. Dekim has a history of involvement with space colony resistance movements, and perhaps even some connection with Operation Meteor. But for now, his master plan is to place his granddaughter Mariemaia on the throne, and he's organized a powerful army to carry out his coup d'etat. |

Serpent Originally developed by the Earth Alliance as a successor to the general-purpose mobile suit Leo, this "thirteenth Zodiac" was completed and mass-produced by the Barton Foundation as the main weapon of its Mariemaia Army. Armored with sturdy Neo Titanium alloy, and equipped with built-in missiles and a variety of heavy weapons, the Serpent would be more than a match for other mass-produced mobile suits. But in this postwar era, when the world government has voluntarily disarmed itself, the Serpent's firepower seems like sheer overkill... at least until those pesky Gundams show up. |
